In 4.2 seconds, the large SUV can reach 62 mph.
Brabus has a new creation: this time, it’s tuning the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600. The most important news is under the hood. Brabus 900 takes its name from the engine’s power. Brabus has added a variety of aftermarket upgrades to improve the SUV’s performance.
Brabus increases the engine’s output, increasing its displacement from 4.0 liters to 4.5 liters. The engine is called the Brabus Rocket 900V8. The modified mill can produce 900 horsepower (662 Kilowatts) as well as 922 pound-feet (1.250 Newton-meters of torque) thanks to a pair of turbochargers that are larger and custom-made.
Brabus restricts the amount of twist at 775 lbft (1,050Nm) in order to protect the engine. The tuner also backs it with a 3-year, 62,000-mile (100,000.km) warranty.
Brabus also modified the engine’s intake and fuel system, while adding a high performance stainless steel exhaust to increase the engine’s output. The driver can control the exhaust by pushing it through the rear diffuser. It has large rectangular tailpipes. Brabus also adds a bumper and an exhaust to enhance the SUV’s exterior. These are essential parts of its aerodynamics. The new carbon bits reduce lift at high speeds.
The tuner changes the styling of the rear and front ends visually with new carbon bits. Brabus finishes the radiator grille in Shadow Gray and the exterior trim in Monoblock M 24 inch wheels. Inside, Brabus finished the GLS in two-tone black-and-cream-colored leather. Brabus makes each car individually, so the tuner can offer a variety of interior finishes.
Brabus claims that the SUV is capable of traveling at 62 mph (100 km) and will reach a top speed of 200 mph (320 kph). Modifications to the air suspension also affect the GLS, which reduces it by approximately 1 inch (25 milimeters).
Although the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has plenty of power and luxury, Brabus is always able to add more. Brabus 900 is more powerful than the Maybach GLS, and looks different due to the tuner’s visual upgrades.
