Some people love their car dearly.
It’s time to have strange news Wednesday, friends. Although tattoos can seem strange, they can be quite permanent which can make them a little daunting. This is especially true when the love you have for your car can change drastically after a few bad experiences. We understand the passion for certain brands because we are Motor1.com. This is where you’ll find the most success.
As you can see from the headline Volkswagen is the subject of the most car tattoos of any automaker. The headline does not show how much of a difference there is for the runner up. The difference is greater than double with 5,507 posts for VW ink and 2,132 for second.
What comes in second? That would be Jeep, of course. Curiously, Cadillac ranked third with 1,775 posts. It was followed by Pontiac (with 1,609) and Chevrolet at 1,417. GM lovers love tattoos. However, even if you include Pontiac, Chevy and Caddy together, VW still wins the race as the most likely brand to ink on an arm. The total list contains 20 brands, and Lamborghini is last with only 74 posts. Maybe Lambo owners don’t have enough money to get a tattoo.
The study also includes the most popular vehicles, although post counts are significantly lower. The Chevrolet Impala is the top-five, with 823 posts. With 800, the DeLorean is second. The Corvette is third with 180. VW is fourth here, despite being the most popular manufacturer with the Beetle. Another surprise appearance is the Mini Cooper fifth.
