Bugatti Veyron Grand Sports Vitesse Rembrandt Is An Artwork

This special Veyron is dedicated to Ettore Bugatti, Ettore’s brother. He was passionate about art.

Manny Khoshbin was showing us his Mercedes-Benz SLR McLarens collection the last time we visited him. He’s now proud to show off a Bugatti Véyron, something he has just added to his fleet.

It’s not just any Veyron. This is a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Roadster Vitesse Rembrandt. That’s quite a description.

The Rembrandt was created to honor Ettore Bugatti’s younger brother Rembrandt Bugatti. Rembrandt Bugatti shared a name and a passion for art with Dutch painter Rembrandt.

Rembrandt was a sculptor and preferred to work with bronze. The car bearing his name is finished with bronze-colored bare carbon fibre, and has caramel-colored accents. Although we love the car’s deep, earthy colors, they remind us a little of the early C4 Corvettes with two-tone paint options (sorry Manny).

Between the seats is a relief from one of Ettore Bugatti’s elephant sculptures. This was used by Ettore Bugatti, in a smaller form, to make his Royale’s hood ornament. This earthy brown shade is double appropriate because Rembrandt Bugatti was a lover of nature and animals.

Manny takes his Veyron for an extended spin. He is wearing a straw hat and driving gloves. We were horrified by this part. It wasn’t because Manny was smoking in his car but because the fuel in his lighter could alter the flavor of the cigar. Manny might give us a ride so we can show him how to light a cigar correctly.
