Bugatti has made a name by building some of the most powerful cars on the planet. However, the company is no slouch when it comes to luxury. French automaker, Bugatti-chiron-pur-sports first drive%22%7D has just built one of the most stunning pool tables we have ever seen.
This piece of art is made from a billet aluminum frame, which has been CNC machined and polished until it resembles a mirror. The carbon fiber skin is applied to the frame using aeronautical-grade prepreg and PVC carbon.
Bugatti completely rebuilt the pool table, unlike many other extracurricular items automakers often build. This pool table isn’t your average one you would find in a bar. To recreate the magic of its road cars, the French automaker teamed up with IXO, a small Spanish company that specializes in carbon fiber projects.
Pedro Sanchez, IXO’s General Manager, stated that “When we began developing the Bugatti pool tables project, I knew that we had to be unique and excel in every area, in order for us to become something extraordinary.”
The optional servo-driven leveling device is one of the highlights of the final product. The table can be mounted on a yacht ( this Lamborghini sports boat, maybe), and each leg will be capable of compensating for any movement of the vessel, maintaining a level playing surface. IXO claims that each leg will have Siemens servo drives, which can respond to any boat movement in five milliseconds.
This table has every inch of engineering and advanced materials, but it comes at a cost. Each table costs around $300,000. This includes accessories. Only 30 tables will be made.
