A new 2.0-based technology is the key to power
We shared the first official photos for the Buick LaCrosse refresh less than a month back. The American manufacturer has released additional information about the sedan, and also introduced the Avenir, the range-topping version.
Start with the regular LaCrosse,Buick The addition of a 2.0-liter turbo engine to its powertrain range is confirmed by GM. This engine is GM’s eighth-generation Ecotec engine and produces 237 horsepower (177 kilowatts), and 258 pound feet (350 Newton-meters), of peak torque. LaCrosse Avenir’s flagship model is pictured at the top. It’s designed to give customers in China a luxurious and sporty feeling that echoes the brand’s new wing-shaped design philosophy.
Buick asks for RMB 239 800 for the facelifted sedan. This works out to around $35,700. RMB 289 800 ($43,145) is the most expensive LaCrosse in China.
The automaker has sold more than 1.2 Million LaCrosse units in China since 2006. Buick has sold more than 9 million cars in China since 1998, when the brand was introduced.
