The armored Bentayga is equipped with BR6 ballistic protection, which means it can withstand bullets from a 7.62-millimeter assault rifle round. This is similar to what would be received from an AK-47. The armored floor is also able to withstand two of the DM51 hand grenades from the German military that can be detonated simultaneously underneath the vehicle. Extra protection is provided for the fuel tank, the battery and the electronic control unit.
Alternatives to an Armored SUV:
While this Bentayga is just like any other car on the road it also has some unique features like the emergency lights behind its grille. Optional features include a smokescreen, fire suppression in the engine bay and electric door handles.
The powertrain is unchanged. The twin-turbo W12 6.0-liter W12 produces 600 horsepower (447 Kilowatts) as well as 664 pound-feet (901 Newton-meters). It runs through an 8-speed automatic. Inkas does not specify the impact armor’s weight has on the crossover’s performance. However, the vehicle will still be capable of reaching 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
Future Bentley Crossovers
Bentley is currently working on a refreshed Bentayga , with design tweaks at both the front and back. There are also strong indications that there will be cabin changes.
