A complete restoration was done to the luxurious Mercedes-Benz. It’s now ready to be a royal.
This 1970 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman limousine is a great choice if you are looking for a car that will fit the bill of a king. Although King Idris of Libya ordered the car originally, it was purchased by Muammar Gaddafi in the same year. King Idris likely didn’t drive much on his new Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman. The Mercedes-Benz ultra-luxurious Mercedes is up for sale in Portland, Oregon at $495,000.
After appearing in the third season of Amazon’s “The Man in the High Castle”, the car has become a movie star.
Although the exterior styling of the 600 Pullman is very boxy, it’s also very impressive. There’s ample space inside, with a rear area that has facing seats. It seems like a great place to go on a vacation or flee from a coup government.
The 600 Pullman was considered the ultimate Mercedes and had opulence that rivaled even Rolls-Royce’s. A 6.3-liter V8 produces 250 horsepower and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. These models are known for their complicated hydraulic system, which controlled the power windows, sunroofs, and other adjustments.
According to the seller the car was subject to a documented restoration that included the replacement or rebuilding of all mechanical parts. It still has the original combination of black exterior paint with bamboo-colored leather upholstery. This classic Mercedes has only 21,748 miles (35,000 km) since new. The restoration took just 186 miles (300 km) off the car.
