These special edition models are a celebration of Cadillac’s success in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.
Cadillac will soon unveil special Track Edition CT4-V Blackwing models. The latest teaser provides more details before the official launch. The automaker also revealed the date for ordering.
The earlier teaser video showed more exterior details for the CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition. This latest one however only included a photograph. Cadillac did mention in a social media post that special edition models would come with unique interior packages. However, details are still to be revealed.
The CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition will have specific exterior details that are different from regular Blackwings, based on what we know. The front splitter is made of carbon-fiber and IMSA branding. Side sills, hood and hood are striped in Cadillac V Series colors. Also, the white version comes with dark red mirror caps.
The Sebring circuit, where the Cadillac DPi.V.R racecar won the overall 12-hour races in 2019, 2020, and 2022, is shown as an outline in at least one of the rear corner Windows.
We could see some mechanical changes in the Track Edition models, despite not being explicitly mentioned. This is due to their performance-oriented designation. We don’t know if this is confirmed but it’s possible. We can only be certain of their limited availability at the moment, though it is not yet disclosed.
Cadillac had previously stated that the CT4V Blackwing Track Edition models would debut in July. Ordering opens August 1, 2022 if you are interested in purchasing one. You shouldn’t expect to see the reservation lanes empty; the initial reservations for regular CT4_V and CT5_V Blackwing sedans were filled in less than a minute after they were launched last January.
