We hope Cadillac makes a CT5 wagon.
Cadillac is excited about its new sedan. The Blackwing model, which is much-talked about, could produce up to 650 horsepower (485kilowatts) using a supercharged V8 of 6.2-liters (though not the Blackwing V8). It may also have a manual transmission. Reports now suggest that a wagon version of the CT5 or CT5_ may be available. This would be the first Cadillac variant since the departure from the CTS with a long roof in 2014.
In an interview with , Cadillac’s chief engineering officer, Brandon Vivian said that the company is currently considering a CT5 wagon. Vivian says, “There is an absolute fanaticism about the V wagons and wagons in general.” We continue to research a possible future version of this wagon because of this.
A CT5 wagon, as a direct successor of the CTS would make sense. Cadillac only offered a CTS wagon from 2010 to 2014. It was available in a range of models, including a long-roof base model and a V-powered variant. The CTS-V Wagon featured a supercharged, 6.2-liter V8. This new model will produce approximately 100 horsepower (75 kilowatts) more.
One question remains: Will the rumored CT5 wagon have the same sharp, tapered lines as its predecessor? It could, based on the CT5 sedan’s angular styling. TheSketchMonkey, a graphic artist, attempted to create a CT5V wagon. The stylish rendering shows us what the future holds if Cadillac approves the project. It uses the CT5-V sedan for the basis. We like what we see.
Customers will be content with the CT5-V and CT5V sedans until then. The CT5’s standard CT5 generates just 237 horsepower (177 kW) with a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine. While the CT5-V produces 335 horses (250kW0) thanks to a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6. This leaves plenty of space for a hot wagon.
