Cadillac Escalade rendering shows Next Gen's New Lines
It’s time to get Escalade.

It is no secret that the Cadillac Escalade will be undergoing a redesign. The next-generation Escalade is expected to be unveiled in 2021. It will continue as a full-size SUV with three rows. If space is a concern, you can opt for the three-row XT6 crossover.

Officially Revealed

Although the Escalade is targeted at different three-row customers, the XT6 and Escalade share many key styling elements. Our rendering shows that the Escalade will swap the current model’s horizontal headlights in favor of a set combining into the brand’s polygon grille. The Escalade will likely keep its original headlamp shape, much like the XT6. This is thanks to massive vertical LED driving lamps in the lower fascia.

The result is a mug that looks far more elegant, even if it’s a little less bold than the current model. We expect the Escalade to have a more evolutionary exterior styling. The rear end will retain the current model’s large taillights but with modern LED styling.

The Escalade’s underpinnings, and innards need to be updated. This is in contrast to its exterior design. An independent rear suspension will replace the existing live axle. A rumored high performance model will be equipped with a supercharged, 6.2-liter V8. The forced-induction engine, also known as LT4, may be used in the Escalade’s Camaro ZL1.

You can also find Cadillac’s new interior design language inside the SUV. Spy photos reveal a large, dash-mounted infotainment display, digital gauge cluster and lots of wood and metal trim. The brand’s new infotainment controller, the 2020 XT5 or XT6, will be mounted on the center console. A shift-by-wire lever will replace the column-mounted unit.
