We can see some updates to the body at least in the teaser video.
To celebrate the brand’s success at the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, the 2023 CT4V Blackwing Track Edition will be released in July. We are given a preview of the model’s features in this teaser video.
This CT4V Blackwing front splitter has an exposed carbon-fiber finish, and IMSA branding. The corners are canarded. Side sills and driver’s side of hoods have stripes in the Cadillac V Series colour scheme. One of the teasers features contrasting dark red mirror caps.
At least one rear window shows the outline of the Sebring circuit. In the 12 hour race, Cadillac DPi.V.R won overall in 2019 and 2021.
The CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition is unique for many reasons beyond these cosmetic changes. We would expect some mechanical changes to be worthy of the circuit-focused title.
The CT4_V Blackwing has a 3.6-liter twin turbo V6 with 472 horsepower (352 Kilowatts) & 445 pound-feet (602 Newton-meters). You can choose between a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic to drive the rear wheels. The back is helped by a limited-slip differential that improves traction. The CT4-V Blackwing can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds. It also has a top speed at 189 mph (354 kph).
Version 4.0 of the Magnetic Ride Control suspension is used by the CT4-V Blackwing. The 18-inch diameter Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measure 255/35 in the front and 275/35 in the back. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes may be used.
The 4.1-mile Virginia International Raceway Grand Course layout can be lapped by a standard CT4-V Blackwing equipped with the Carbon Fiber 1 package in just 52.5 seconds. This is faster than the BMW M5 Competition which takes 2:54 to complete the circuit.
