This Corvette special edition features a carbon-fiber body and an exhaust featuring large, D-shaped outlets.
Beginning with the 1987 model year, Corvette owners could order the B2K option at their dealer and receive a twin turbocharged V8 from Callaway. To celebrate the original, the 35th Anniversary Package can be found on the 2022 Corvette. You won’t get turbo power this time but you can still get a carbon-fiber bodykit, exhaust, or other upgrades.
A front splitter is part of the new body parts. Callaway claims that the raised parts on the outer ends are inspired by dive planes. You can also find full-length side sills.
The rear wing is complex in design, with an opening at the base that allows for the raised portion. The tail of the ‘Vette looks simple from the side.
A new rear diffuser has been added to the tail with the Callaway emblem at the center. You can choose from a chrome or carbon flash-black finish for the emblem.
The company has installed a new center-exit exhaust and a pair large, D-shaped outlets below this part. As an option, the tips can be finished in black chrome. Callaway describes the sound of the pipes as “not raucous” and instead as a smoother, more high-pitched tone. This piece weighs 40 pounds (18.14 kgs) less than stock, which helps to reduce the Corvette’s weight.
B2K’s 35th Anniversary Package is ridden on nine-spoke, forged aluminium wheels with a 19-inch diameter. They are 9 inches wide in the front. The back wheels have a diameter of 20 inches and a width of 11.5 inches. They have a 26-pound (11.79 kg) reduction in rotational mass compared to stock wheels. You can choose from five finishes: matte bronze, black chrome PVD gloss titanium, matte black, gloss and satin black.
The inside has a few improvements. The B2K 35th anniversary package includes an anodized aluminum sillplate, Callaway-branded floormats and billet aluminum pedal covers. The console has a special plaque.
This special edition includes a car cover featuring Callaway’s 35th anniversary wreath emblem and a Mothers detailing kit.
The Corvette’s 35th Anniversary Edition Package by B2K adds $34,960 to its price and includes the option code PCY. Buyers will need to choose the Z51 performance package, aero deletion, and open-5-spoke, bright silver-painted aluminum wheels options. Chevy builds the car in Bowling Green, Kentucky and then ships it directly to Callaway’s shop, Connecticut, or California to undergo modifications.
