Another ICE versus EV competition. You can choose your choice.
The Lamborghini Urus, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk are two of the most popular SUV names. These machines have impressive horsepower numbers and a solid straight-line performance unlike anything else.
There’s a wildcard we’ve seen before – the Tesla Model Y’s Performance trim. The Model Y actually beat the Trackhawk in a previous drag race We think this is quite an outrage, considering the Jeep model’s power output advantage.
It is now a question of whether the Tesla Model Y can beat the Lamborghini Urus in a drag racing . Edmunds were the men who raced the Model Y with Trackhawk.
Let’s compare the numbers. From its twin-turbo Audi 4.0-liter engine, the Lamborghini Urus generates 650 horsepower (485 Kilowatts) as well as 627 pound-feet (685 Newton-meters), torque. The Model Y has an estimated power output between 450 and 500 hp (373 kW), and 470 to 500 lbft (678Nm) of twist.
The Urus is similar to the Trackhawk in terms of its power output. The Tesla’s battery and the two motors make the electric high-rider significantly lighter than the super SUV from Italy. As we all know, drag racing is a race where weight is just as important as power output and traction.
Will the Trackhawk fate befall the Urus at the hands of the Model Y. You can find the answer in the video at the top of the page. However, we would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
