The Lamborghini Urus, which is currently the most powerful SUV in the race, has a horsepower of just 200 compared to Brabus 850.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the rest of the market for performance SUVs in today’s competitive marketplace. The carwow team assembled a unique lineup of SUVs to race on the drag strip. Carwow brought along a Tesla Model X Performance, and a modified Brabus 850 to take on the Lamborghini Urus.
Because of its combination of power and poise, the Lamborghini Urus stands out as one of today’s most powerful SUVs. The Lamborghini Urus’ twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 produces 641 horsepower (478 Kilowatts), and 627 lb/ft (850 Newton meters) of torque. The powerful V8 engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which routes power to all four wheels using an all-wheel drive system. This powerful V8 is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that routes power to all four wheels via an all-wheel drive system.
Brabus 850 is the new and unique alternative to the Lamborghini Urus. Brabus 850, which is based on Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe, completely transforms the stock vehicle’s drivetrain. Brabus takes the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe’s stock engine and places a hand-built 6.0 liter twin-turbo Brabus engine in its place. It produces 850 horsepower (634 Kilowatts), and 1069 lb/ft (1450 Newton meters) of torque. Brabus must reduce the V8’s torque output to 847 lb-ft (1150 Newton meters) to ensure a more reliable drivetrain. This SUV has been extensively modified by Brabus, who spent decades creating Mercedes-AMG products that are even more fast.
The Tesla Model X Performance is a powerful, gas-powered SUV that can compete with them. Two electric motors power the Tesla Model X Performance, generating 670 horsepower (500 Kilowatts) combined and 750 lbft (970 Newton meters) of torque. The Tesla Model X is capable of sprinting from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds due to its lack transmission and the instant torque generated by the electric motors. This SUV can beat some of the most powerful gas-powered SUVs in drag racing. Let’s see.
