eBay is selling a rare 1981 Porsche 928 converted by Carelli Design into a convertible
Carelli converted only eight of these cars. The first owner paid 103,000 USD in 1981. The car is now being sold by its third owner. At the time of writing, the highest bid for the car is 25,100 USD. There are still four days before the listing closes.
The convertible 928 has been driven for just 6,333 miles (10.192 km). It is original except for the exhaust tip and muffler, as well as a switch to control antenna. The car rides on alloy wheels of 16 inches wrapped in Pirelli P7 tires. It also has an independent front and rear suspension and a hydraulic power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system.
A V8 4.5-liter engine produces 230 bhp (171kW) at 5,250 RPM to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. Convertibles weigh 1,480 kg and can reach 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h), before reaching 143 mph (230 km/h).
