Carlex Design Gives Hyundai Santa Fe a Radical Makeover

It’s certainly not boring…

This article is worth a listen

While we wait for Hyundai to give Santa Fe an overhaul, Carlex Design, Polish aftermarket experts, decided to give the midsize SUV their own facelift. This is their latest creation. They have a reputation for creating wild visual packages for many cars. This version makes the Santa Fe standard Santa Fe appear more subtle than its regular counterpart.

It’s clear that Hyundai’s SUV went through many changes. Not necessarily for the best. This striking custom project, the Santa Fe Urban Edition has a two-tone finish with a large mouth that is similar to a Lexus LX. A faux diffuser flanks the back. However, Carlex Design doesn’t say anything about engine upgrades.
The exterior changes aren’t enough to be exciting. Lime green accents were added to the interior to brighten up the predominantly black/gray interior and complement the brake calipers. The vibrant color can be seen on the door cards as well as the body-hugging seat backs. To further elevate the Santa Fe from its traditional play-it-safe roots, leather and Alcantara have been added to some areas.

Although the Hyundai Santa Fe may not be the type of vehicle that would attract the attention of tuners and enthusiasts, Carlex Design is certain there will be people who are interested in this unusual appearance package. It would be a great fit at SEMA and will soon launch on the SUV’s local market in South Korea, before heading to Europe.

What else has Carlex Design done?
