Ferraris are the best. 100+ Ferraris.
Ferrari is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017. The brand’s landmark model, the LaFerrari Aperta, is part of the convoy at the sixth edition Ferrari Cavalcade. This event is being described as a “traveling showcase” that’s only open to collectors and loyal customers.
Over 100 cars from more than 30 countries joined forces at Borgo Egnazia, Italy as they drove through scenic routes and negotiated the narrow streets of the villages. The majority of Ferraris that were registered for the 2017 Cavalcade were newer nameplates such as the 488 Spider and California T, F12tdf and the GTC4Lusso. F40, F50 and Enzo were the top three Ferraris in the field, representing the best of the crop. The cherry on the cake was the Aperta.
Ferrari’s latest model, 812Superfast is still unknown. However, it shouldn’t surprise anyone since this model was the marque’s most powerful regular production model and the fastest ever, just a few months back.
Although work on a new model is well underway, the company isn’t resting on its laurels. However, it is difficult to identify at this time. Spy shots showed a 488 with the engine bay windows covered. According to the latest information, it could be a KERS-equipped beefier 488. Or perhaps a test mule in preparation for a V6-powered Dino reboot.
RM Sotheby’s will celebrate Ferrari’s 70th birthday later this year by hosting what it calls the largest Ferrari auction ever. It will take place in Maranello between September 8-10.
