These grainy images will suffice until Tuesday’s official unveiling.
We are less than 48 hours away to the official debut of Kia’s third-generation Sportswagon. However, a few images made it onto the World Wide Web. Although the photos are not of very high quality, we do get a glimpse at the Kia compact car hatchback. It has a longer roof and a wider rear that can accommodate a larger trunk.
As the differences between the body styles start aft of the B-pillar, it is not surprising that the front fascia was essentially transplanted from the hatch. The new Ceed Sportswagon has a larger quarter glass than a wagon. This makes it appear larger and allows for more light into the cabin. It also increases visibility.
Although the car’s rear end isn’t as surprising as the hatchback’s, we noticed that the taillights are slightly different and a bit more BMW-esque. The Sportswagon doesn’t seem to have an exhaust tip visible on the right side like the hatchback. However, a GT Line version of the car will most likely correct that.
The interior images are not yet available, but it is highly unlikely that it will differ from the hatchback’s. With the obvious exception of the larger trunk. To give you an idea of the interior of the Ceed Sportswagon, we have attached some real images of the hatch.
On Tuesday, both flavors of the apostropheless Ceed will be available. There will also be a crossover, a shooting brake and a GT to complete the family before the decade ends.
