Suzuki has made multiple Jimny versions in the past. It’s possible that the new Jimny could have a hard top.
The Suzuki Jimny’s boxy, charming shape is hard to resist. This little off-roader looks ready to go anywhere. What if you need more space or can carry heavier loads? These customers are currently out of luck. X–Tomi Design does have renderings of how such versions might look.
The Jimny can currently be purchased as a 2-door SUV. It looks great but if you have occupants in your back, an additional set of doors would make it more practical. The Suzuki’s four-door design also extends its capabilities, allowing it to transport more cargo even if the rear bench is empty.
However, a larger vehicle might need a new powertrain. In Japan, the new Jimny can be ordered with either a 660cc engine or a 1.5 liter powerplant. They may not be strong enough to carry four people and their luggage.
X-Tomi Design shows you how a Jimny pickup truck might look. This styling features a singlecab layout, which would limit passenger capacity but give you a bigger bed to haul more cargo.
X-Tomi Design previously created a soft-top Jimny that was perfect for open-air motoring.
Although there have been pickup and soft-top versions of the Jimny, spy shots have not revealed any new variants. Suzuki has plenty time to design new versions of the SUV, as the last generation lasted 20 years.
Suzuki could announce additional body styles at the Jimny’s official debut on July 5,. Because the company already published photos and preliminary details about the Japanese market, the company staged a strange rollout for the small SUV.
