Check out the New TVR Griffith Track Tackled With Its ThroatyV8

Although the car sounds amazing, we would have liked more creativity in its styling.

The TVR Griffith has been reborn, but we haven’t seen much. This is why the Avon Tyres video is so great. It’s short and sweet, with just under one minute of action. This video is great for people who enjoy the deep growl of a V8. TVR has done it better than any other automaker – present or past.

Refresher courses in TVR are available

This video shows us how little we have seen of the Griffith, and also how much TVR has changed. The Goodwood Revival was our first encounter with the Griffith. Here we learned all about its bones. Even after an 11-year gap, it appeared that things were picking up. Especially with a powerful front-mount V8 mated to a light chassis with some bizarre bodywork.Check out the New TVR Griffith Track Tackled With Its ThroatyV8

However, we must make a confession. We have to admit that the engine was flawless. A Ford-sourced, 5.0-liter V8 tuned by Cosworth to produce 500 horsepower (373 megawatts), is hard to beat. The video also shows that Griffith doesn’t lack for power. The chassis weighs in at 2,755 pounds (1.250 kg) and has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Although the carbon fiber body is certainly a plus, we feel it not as crazy as we would like from something with a TVR badge. Although it’s not terrible, we would prefer something more bizarre to go with the dirty music. Two out of three isn’t bad.

The 500 TVR pre-orderes who ordered the launch edition will enjoy the whole package. The cars will be delivered next year. We have not heard any news about these new Griffiths but we are following the no good news mantra.
