We get up close and personal with the truck.
The Edition 1 top-trim model has 350 miles range, white paint and a $112,000. The Edition 1 will boast a claimed 1,000 horsepower (746 Kilowatts) as well as a zero-to-60 time of 3.0 seconds. The edition sold out includes a Crab Walk off-road mode, and 800-volt DC fast charging. This is the ultimate Hummer. But the details make it even more so.
The Hummer is full of easter eggs, as is the case with most modern vehicles. Exterior features such as the MultiPro tailgate, power-operated frunk and power-operated trunk are more obvious. We were able to see fun additions such as brackets that show a thumbs-up. If the vehicle flips over, they will switch to a thumbs up – we hope you don’t see one of those.
The Hummer’s interior continues the easter egg theme with maps inscribed into the floor and speaker covers. You will also see a footprint that is meant to remind Neil Armstrong of his boot as he walked on moon. This is in keeping with the Edition 1’s lunar theme.
Although we will have to wait until the Hummer’s prototype testing is complete before we can get behind the wheel, it’s something that we are more than ever excited to do. GMC intends to start production deliveries next fall.
