It could be placed between the TrailBlazer or Blazer.
China consumers will soon be able to purchase a new Chevrolet crossover. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology appears to have shown a new, stylish crossover even before it was officially launched. The new model is not the first we see.
Last month spy photos captured a camouflaged crossover being tested near the automaker’s Michigan facilities. appears very similar to the new ChevySeeker. It was a more sporty version of the Blazer and TrailBlazer, according to information at the time. Although the Seeker’s styling is similar to the other crossovers, it looks sportier.
The turbocharged 1.5-liter turbo engine in the new Seeker produces 180 horsepower (134 kilowatts) and can propel the crossover to speeds of 127 mph (205 km/h). The 180-hp 1.5L Blazer powertrain is the perfect match for the new Seeker. Rumours suggest that the new Chevy will be placed between the TrailBlazer, and TrailBlazer.
Photos also reveal that the Seeker will come in an RS version, although it is not clear what the badge means for the model. Another photo shows a two-tone orange model with a black roof. There are no interior photographs.
It’s possible that the Chevrolet Seeker will make its way onto American roads. One clue is the spy photos that show it in Michigan. Chevy would have nine crossovers if it added another. Crossovers are still gaining more market share than sedans and hatchbacks.
