Buyers would get a ZR2 with a Bison.
It appears that the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison, a rugged and tough vehicle, is on its way. Camaro 5 Forum user posted a screenshot that allegedly came from the dealer order tool and listed code ULV for “ZR2 Bison Edition.”
Motor1.com reached out to Chevrolet for more information about this vehicle. “Thanks for reaching us. “We have nothing to share at the moment,” an automaker spokesperson told us.
This listing does not include any additional information about the Silverado ZR2 Bison. It is possible, like the Colorado ZR2 Bison that this larger version was developed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles.
The upgrades for the Colorado ZR2 Bison include new bumpers that allow for a winch to be placed in the front, integrated recovery hooks at back and flared fender flares. The truck has five boron-steel skid plate underneath. It is fitted with 17-inch wheels and 31-inch tires. A 2.0-inch suspension lift is also available. American Expedition Vehicles offers customers the option of a snorkel.
The Colorado ZR2 Bison does not have any powertrain modifications over the ZR2. You can choose from an extended or crew cab body.
The Bison version would give the Silverado off-road capabilities. The model already features a raised suspension with 40-millimeter Multimatic DSSV spool valve dampers. Redesigned springs provide more travel front and back than the Trail Boss trim.
Upgraded bumpers offer a 31.8-degree approach angle and 23.4-degree breakover angle. The underbody is protected by a skid plate. The truck has an 11.2 inch ground clearance. The truck rides on 18-inch wheels and 33-inch mudterrain tires.
Silverado ZR2’s 6.2-liter V8 produces 420 horsepower (313 Kilowatts) as well as 460 lb/ft (624 Newton meters) of torque. The 10-speed automatic transmission is available. The locking front and rear differentials offer more traction for slippery conditions. The truck can carry a maximum payload of 1,440 lbs and has a towing rating of 8,900 lbs.
