The updated mug is likely to appear on the 2020 Camaro SS model year, if the reports are true.
Not all facelifts work. For example, take the schnoz updated 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS. It places its bow-tie badge along the crossbar that divides the upper-and lower-grille openings. Chevrolet is working to fix the V8-powered ponycar badge placement.
Chevy is reportedly showing off the new look using its Speciality Equipment Market Association showbound shock green Camaro SS. The car’s tennis-ball color is the most striking feature. However, those with keen eyes will also notice its revised front fascia which features the Chevy badge in the upper grille. The Shock green showcar also features a crossbar for the body-color grille, as opposed to the black on the 2019 Camaro SS.
Although the changes may seem small, the front end of the Shock green Camaro Show car is much prettier than its mass-produced counterpart. Chevrolet spokesperson could not confirm whether the SEMA front-end is in production.
We expect the Shock green Camaro’s nose to make its way into the 2020 Camaro SS. The new front end will house the same 455-horsepower (339 kilowatts) 6.2-liter V8 motor as the current car. We recommend that Chevy, despite its intentions, quickly move the SEMA car’s modified fascia into production.
