It’s a sporty version of the Blazer.
Chevrolet’s vision for future crossovers is revealed by the FNR Carry All Concept, which was unveiled at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Named after the 1935 Chevy Suburban Carryall, the predecessor of the modern SUV, the name is deliberately reminiscent.
FNR Carry All takes styling cues from current Camaro. This includes the vented hood and sharp-edged headlights. Although the grille mesh design is very similar to that of Bowtie’s muscle car, it takes up much more space. The body’s side creases create interesting visual details that can be reflected by the light. Brembo brake calipers have carbon-ceramic wheels and Brembo roofs add sporty touches to the concept.
Chevy’s new design is very similar to the Blazer, except for the more aggressive touches such as the hood vents or the pointy mirrors. They share a similar grille and a sweeping rear pillar with an upward-sweeping design. You can see the difference in the image above.
The Carry All is 196.9 inches long (5,000 millimeters), and has a wheelbase of 112.9 inches (2,867 mm). Inside, there is enough seating for six. The cabin has a panoramic sunroof that lets in lots of natural light. Chevy has not yet released photos of the cabin. However, the company reported that there is a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The top of the center stack houses a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. The back-facing occupants have their own touchscreen and independent controls for the HVAC system.
Chevy has not provided any details on the Carry All’s engine or whether it will be displayed outside of China.
