Chevy Offers Incentive if You Come From A Non-GM Brand

Buick and GMC have similar conquest incentives.

With the coronavirus epidemic taking its toll on car sales and competition becoming increasingly fierce, it’s difficult to be a dealership. Chevrolet offers what is commonly known as the conquest incentive to get you to leave rival automakers. It’s a discount that customers can avail of if they are coming from another brand.

CarsDirect discovered the $750 discount after finding a bulletin that was sent to dealers. It revealed that most Chevy products (cars, SUVs and pickups) were eligible for this discount. This may not seem like much but it can be combined with other discounts. Consider the 2020 Trax. It was available with 0 percent APR for seven year and $2,300 discount through the GM Downpayment Assistance.

As with all things, there is a catch. There are many. If you lease, the conquest incentive drops down to $500 and to $250 for the Silverado. The discount is not available if you decide to buy the truck. The mid-engine Corvette is not included, regardless of whether you are looking to lease or buy it. This is likely because the C8 Corvette is a very hot commodity that doesn’t require a price drop.
