Buick’s new Verano Hatchback, and Verano GS models were introduced at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
The Opel Astra models are based on the Opel Astra. However, they have a familiar look but feature a waterfall grille with Buick badges. The Verano GS features a sporty body, red accents and 17-inch five-spoke, aluminum wheels with a dark-painted finish.
Drivers will find a 3-spoke multi-function steering column, ambient lighting, an IntelliLink infotainment and entertainment system with an 8-inch screen and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The Verano GS is once again a standout model thanks to its Alcantara sports seat, red contrast stitching and Flame Red ambient lighting. A bright red stripe on the dashboard and faux carbon fiber trim complete this model.
The 1.5-liter SIDI 1.5-liter engine powers the Verano Hatchback. It produces 116 horsepower (87 kW) as well as 107 lbft (146 Nm). It is only connected to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Verano GS also features a turbocharged 1.5 liter SIDI engine that produces 166 bhp (1124 kW) as well as 184 lbft (253 Nm) of torque. It is paired with a seven speed dual-clutch transmission that allows the model to accelerate to 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h in 8.8) seconds.
Pre-orders are being accepted by Chinese dealers. Prices start at 145,900 RMB
