Chris Evans, UK Radio DJ, buys 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO from Ferrari for PS12 Million

Chris Evans, a popular UK radio DJ, has apparently purchased a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for PS12,000,000.

Chris Evans, a UK radio personality and TV personality, is believed to have purchased one of the most rare Ferraris ever. The DJ has a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. This is one of 36 Ferraris ever made between 1962 and 1963. He had been looking for one for years, and was even close to buying it 15 years ago. He posted yesterday a picture on Twitter with the caption “The new one has arrived”, confirming his latest purchase.

According to reports, Evans, 44 years old, spent a cool PS12million (US$17.7million) on the classic sports car. He also bought history and an aluminum 3.0-litre V12 engine of 216kW (290bhp/294PS at 8,000 rpm) as well as rear-wheel drive.

It will likely park alongside other Ferraris that the man has at his home, including a Nero Black 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder which once belonged to James Coburn.
