Except for the price, he loves everything about this McLaren.
Chris Harris took the McLaren720S and TrackPack for a spin at Portimao Circuit, Portugal, in the latest episode of Top Gear. He loved the McLaren supercar just as everyone else. It is “the most complete supercar ever made,” he said.
These are strong words from the Top Gear presenter. It would be hard to believe that there could be anything wrong with the 720S or its Track Pack. As with all cars, there is no perfect car. For Harris, the extra PS28,360 ($37,000 at current exchange rates), premium for the 720S track pack.
Harris claims that the Track Pack’s cost is ridiculous considering the small changes that are made. He also points out that many of the alterations are cosmetic. Harris also stated that the Track Pack’s dynamic improvement, including weight loss, is not that impressive.
The 720S Track Pack is based upon the Performance trim. This should get you the hood and rear fender carbon fiber intakes, along with the side mirror caps. MSO also provided an upgraded sports exhaust system and ultra-light 10-spoke wheels. Carbon fiber racing seats, titanium roll bars, and MSO carbon fibre gearshift paddles are included inside.
These niceties help to reduce the car’s weight by 24 kg (53 lb).
Harris also said that no matter how much Harris loved the house, the upgrades weren’t worth it. He offered his advice at the end. Purchase a McLaren 720S, a near-new standard McLaren. To see the complete review, you can view it at the top.
