There are also some notable updates to Fiat-Chrysler’s 2017 model year lineup.

You won’t find a single mention in Fiat-Chrysler 2017 model year information update of the Dodge Dart. It’s gone, but it’s not surprising. You’re mistaken if you thought the Chrysler 200 would also be cut. The 200 will be around for another model year. It even receives a few updates.

The model range has been simplified to just five trims (g’bye Limited, 200C and 200C), though the highest-end 200C Platinum is still available. The 200 Touring also has a Dark Appearance package that includes 18-inch gloss black wheels, gloss-black exterior trim, and black headlamp moldings. The 200S also includes the Alloy Edition package, which we have already discussed.A spokesperson for Chrysler stated that the company will offer a 2017 Chrysler 200 model with a special focus on the Touring trim level and Limited Platinum trim level. The Dart is still in production. We are currently working with dealers to forecast production and sales volumes for the Dodge Dart 2017 model year. This will enable us to meet our customers’ needs well into 2017.

Other changes to the FCA product portfolio are well-known, such as the final Dodge Viper special editions and the new ChallengerT/A and Charger Daytona. There are a few smaller updates that are worth noting.
Dodge appears to have dropped the R/T naming system from its non-performance models. The Journey top-end now has the GT designation. The standard equipment includes a 283-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine, leather seats and 19-inch wheels. Rumours circulated a few years back that the Journey would soon be available in an SRT version. However, there is no confirmation. It would be hilarious, but I am still optimistic.

The Chrysler Pacifica has become the poster child minivan of FCA. However, the Grand Caravan continues to be a force in 2017 thanks to a simplified lineup as well as new trim designations. There are now four trim levels, with SE at the base cost of $23,995 (that’s $400 less than the super-stripped American Value Package model, but with more content, and $4,600 more than a base Pacifica LX).

It’s Grand Caravan business as always. All models are powered by the 3.6-liter V6. The top-trim R/T model is now called GT (like the Journey). Blacktop packages for the SE Plus and SXT models are still available.
This will be of particular interest to eight people. The entire 500L range now has a six-speed automatic transmission. This package also includes an Urbana Appearance Package, which adds black accents to the butch-ish Trekking model. The 500X is now officially available. I still have questions about why such a homely thing exists.
LED headlights seem to be one of the most popular aftermarket fittings for new Jeep Wranglers. Jeep will now offer them directly from the factory, with LED foglights. These brighter lamps will come as an option on Sport and Sport S models and standard on higher-end Sahara or Rubicon models. These new lights are available for both the four-door and two-door Wrangler models.
The new Summit and Trailhawk Grand Cherokee Grand Cherokees were unveiled at the New York Auto Show in January. However, there are some updates throughout the lineup. The SRT has a new fascia. If you look at these photos, and think, “No way, that’s the Hellcat-powered Trackhawk,” then you are wrong. Trackhawk is not mentioned in 2017 model year updates. This could be because it will be available next year as a 2018 version. It’s coming. I’m stoked.
