Chrysler Airflow Vision Electric EV is Possibly In The Works

It could be a new Chrysler model.

There is only one Stellantis brand that needs fresh products and it is not Lancia. The 117-year old company has sold a pair minivans and an out-of-date sedan. The fourth-largest automaker in the world has decided to invest in every one of its 14 brands over the next 10 years. This includes Chrysler.

We might have seen a glimpse of the long-awaited new Chrysler. Stellantis EV Day 2021 was a memorable event that featured teasers about a possible new Chrysler. Dodge electric muscle car And a Ram 1500 with zero emissions A new vehicle with the winged logo was also on display. It’s possible that it isn’t all that original, but it seems to be a significant evolution of the Airflow Vision concept from last year at CES.

However, there are many differences to the CES car. First, Ralph Gilles, Chrysler’s design chief, briefly showed the vehicle with doors and side mirrors. Even the obligatory orange side markers are visible on the vehicle, which may not be the final model, but it is likely to be a prototype.

Airflow Vision’s screen-heavy interior appears to have a correspondent on its road-going vehicle. It boasts a two-spoke steering column and a huge panoramic glass roof. The cabin has ambient lighting and is quite expensive for Chrysler. However, it could be a deal-breaker to some people.

Technical specifications are not available at this time, but if Airflow Vision does indeed go to production, it will ride on Stellantis’ new EV focused platforms. During the Stellantis EV Day 2020 livestream, footage of the new Chrysler was shown. Ralph Gilles spoke about the STLA Large platform which will allow for a maximum range up to 500 miles (800 km).

The architecture is still being developed. This means that even if the new Chrysler is based on STLA Large, it will not be out any time soon. Ralph Gilles stated that no less than eight EVs would be launched on this architecture in the next 3-5 year, with one Chrysler.
