Citroen will double the production of the DS3 Racing model

After the initial 1,000 units, an additional 1,000 units will be produced by DS3 Racing.

Citroen will increase production of the limited edition DS3 Racing model to 1,000 units.

Citroen Racing wants to keep more units on hand for customers after the model is a success. Citroen Racing’s Olivier Quesnel, head of Citroen Racing, wants more units to meet the high demand.

Citroen will double the production of the DS3 Racing model

The 1.6 liter THP (direct-injection turbocharged) engine is standard on the DS3. It produces 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp), and 275 Nm (213 lb-ft). The DS3 features tighter steering and a track that is 30 mm wider than the standard DS3, both at the front and back. Additionally, the suspension has been stiffened to lower the car by 15 mm compared to the stock model.

The Citroen DS3 Racing was released last year, and it made its debut at Geneva’s auto show in 2010.
