Honda/Acura took 11 years to build a fully functional supercar from the time the original NSX was retired from production. You may be able to recall the NSX that was almost built at the end 2000s. Although the Japanese company planned to release a second-generation model sooner than 2016, the financial crisis in the late 2000s forced them to stop production of their flagship sports car.
