Audi is the clear winner for the second consecutive year.
Consumer Reports has released the annual ranking of car brands. Audi is the leader, followed by BMW and Porsche, which both have improved their ratings over the 2016 analysis. The Ingolstadt-based marque scored 81 overall, beating Porsche three points and BMW four.
These results combine the following factors to help you understand the brand’s points: owner satisfaction, road test scores, predicted reliability, safety, and safety. Although Audi is the first overall ranking, it is important to note that Porsche has a higher road test score (88) than BMW (86).
The top five brands remain the same as last year but the order is different when you consider that Porsche and BMW are up two spots, Lexus is down one, and Subaru has lost three.
The U.S. brand that ranks eighth is Tesla. It has a score of 73 and a score of road tests of 88, respectively. This is based on just two models. Fiat, which has a mere 41-point overall and 52-point road score, is at the bottom.
