Despite all the challenges, the Chevy C8 survived and is likely to be one of the most loved models of 2020. The 2021 model year will soon be in production and ready for customers. The National Corvette Museum showcased the 2021 Corvette in its Red Mist color option, which was a preview of the new features in the mid-engine sports car.
Hennessey has more to do with drag racing the Corvette. The Texas tuner has uploaded a video in which it pits its shop sample against a very unlikely competitor: a Rolls-Royce Wraith .Both are coupes with two doors. But that’s the only thing that makes them similar. The one is a mid-engine sportscar that can conquer the race track, while the other is made for attending galas and cocktail parties in a most extravagant manner.
But, then again, why not? Hennessey stated that the drag racing was for “some very important comparison testing.” You’ll also see that the guys had a lot of fun racing them.
The Vette is nearly stock except for the Hennessey exhaust upgrades. The Wraith is certainly more powerful than the Corvette’s twin-turbo V12, which produces 623 horsepower (465 Kilowatts) as well as 642 pound-feet (870 Newton meters) of torque. The Wraith is significantly heavier than the C8, making this drag race .
