It’s American muscle against Italian style.
Remember that the Huracan supercar is an older version of the Italian supercar. It was launched in November 2015. The LP 580-2 variant was launched in November 2015. It featured a 5.2-liter V8 with 571 horsepower (or 580 metric horses) and 398 pound feet (540 Newton-meters). Rear-wheel drive saved 72 pounds (33 kg) over the standard model. Lambo claimed that the run to 62 mph (100 km/h) took 3.4 seconds. The top speed was 198 MPH (320 kph).
The C8’s 6.2-liter V8 produces up to 495 horsepower (369 kW), and 470 lbft (637 Nm) The C8 is actually slightly faster than the Lambo to 60 MPH (96 km/h), reaching this speed in 2.9 seconds. Maximum speed is 194 mph (312 km/h).
This is the autocross. The course is tight with several gates and slalom sections. The driver feels the Huracan spins faster through curves than the Lamborghini, while the ‘Vette is more slalom. The clock shows a different story, however, as the C8 is 0.21 seconds faster.
Both drag races are won by the Lamborghini. It wins easily against the Corvette, both from a stop or a role.
The driver then takes the cars on hot laps around the track. After extensive testing them both, the video shows their fastest lap times. This course is a 0.9 second faster for the Corvette than it is for the Huracan.
