Corvette salesman jumps his C8 over another C8 for the sake of the thrill

Wearing an Evel Knievel Suit

Street Speed 717’s creator Michael Hysong has gained millions of viewers (and some legal costs) by jumping his RAM TRX over a stream and then doing it again with a Lamborghini Urus flying over an Aventador. How does that relate to Rick “Corvette?” Conti? Michael invited the Ohio salesperson from Coughlin Chevrolet to do a similar stunt at his farm.

The Chevy dealer dressed in an Evel Knievel suit for the occasion and jumped his Corvette C8 over another to celebrate a great year. He owns a Rapid Blue convertible and was brave enough to fly it over an Arctic White mid-engined sports car that didn’t have a landing ramp.

It was almost midnight when the spectacular jump took place. However, it was raining at the time. The footage was taken on private property in October. Rick is now releasing the footage. It’s a shame that we are not able to see the car exactly when it touches the ground. However, we believe it is one of the most important parts.

However, Rick shows two bent wheels in the discussion post jump and discusses damages to his vehicle’s frontend, although he doesn’t actually show them. The Corvette dealer was apparently not spared by his stunt. He ended up with a bruised thigh, a scrapped forearm and a sore neck.

The C8 was set in Touring mode for the jump to reduce the force of impact upon landing. However, he knew that his Corvette would be severely damaged before he made the jump. The dealer was called to repair the damage to the car after the stunt.

Some people are commenting on YouTube questioning the authenticity and asking why the jump was done in darkness, even though it was raining. Some others are also questioning the lack of sparks and the fact that the airbags did not deploy the instant it touched the ground. We also don’t see any landing.
