These beasts are seen in their last hurrah before Hennessey opens their stomachs.
The Chevy Corvette ZR1 predecessor is still the best in the Vette food chain, at least until a new successor is available. This Corvette is rated at 212 miles per an hour (341 km per hour), which makes it the fastest ever produced Corvette. It has even been tested in real life. The other side of the fence is a sports car with top-quality performance that could match the Corvette ZR1, but it’s relatively recent: the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.How do they compare? These machines have probably been in a few duels before. Let’s go over the numbers once more to refresh our memory.
The C7 Corvette ZR1’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 produces 755 horsepower (563 Kilowatts) as well as 715 pound-feet (969 Newton meters) of torque. Mustang Shelby GT500 has a smaller, 5.2-liter V8 under the hood. It can produce up to 760 horsepower (567 kW) or 625 lbft (847 Nm). Although the output is close, the Vette pulls more.
The C7 is also lighter than the GT500 by over 500 pounds. So there you have it. You can see a comparison of the two cars in a rolling race. Both cars are stock, but both will receive a 1000 HP upgrade by Hennessey performance. Now the question is: Which was faster? Check out the video at the top and comment below.
