Craigslist Offers Acura Integra TypeR for Free

Craigslist Offers Acura Integra TypeR for Free
Talk about a great deal.

When someone offers something free, it’s smart to be safe. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Everything. There was plenty of cynicism when an Acura Integra Type R 2000 Acura appeared on Craigslist earlier this month. A Craigslist deal can go sour. Nobody wants that. The seller wanted the car removed, but the ad was not a scam.

Tiremeetsroad.com is following the story from Craigslist’s initial post to the owners’ follow-up video detailing the acquisition. Although there is some doubt, the car was actually offered for free. According to the article, the car cost $2,000 which is still a high price for such an uncommon car.

These are some not-so-cheap cars:

After getting the car home, the two men who purchased it took a video. Although it has some imperfections, the Carfax returned the car with no accidents. The paint is also faded from the California sun, but there are no dents. The interior is in excellent condition with very little wear. After they brought it home, the car received a complete tune-up. It had been sitting for four year. It was told that it would need to be trailered, but the couple got it started and it returned home on its own.

There are few things that come free. The new owners of the Integra are looking to make a significant return on their investment, even though they have to pay some money to get it home and registered. It is rare to find the Integra Type R, and prices are only rising as this sporty two-door gains popularity among car enthusiasts and collectors. Although it’s not perfect, some TLC can make the small investment a worthwhile one.
