Crazy Crash: SUV Ram Car Into Front Yard; Everyone Runs Away

Evidently, an ex-boyfriend went too far.

While this video may not be the best for you, it does have some positive points that are worth considering. First, the crash appeared to have been intentional. Second, no one was hurt. The homeowner was also able to see that the two silver sedan occupants did not run away at first. It’s the SUV driver, however, that needs some serious explanations.
The video shows that the crash happened in the early morning hours of June 30, according to the date stamp. KMOV4 news reports that the crash occurred in Cahokia Heights (Illinois) with a doorbell camera clearly recording the whole incident. The camera shows what appears to be a silver Buick sedan moving slowly towards an intersection. The driver of the blue Ford Explorer follows closely, making it sound like he is trying to run the Buick. The Explorer almost rolls over after hitting a tree, and stops just feet from the house. The situation gets even more chaotic when the Explorer driver leaps out and chases and the Buick-riding couple. As this happens, an  angry homeowner runs out of the house screaming as everyone flees the chaos.

The bizarre turn of events has at least one explanation. According to KMOV News, Dominic Williams was the Buick driver identified by Cahokia Height police. His girlfriend and he returned to the scene to apologize to the homeowner and told police that Daren Hand was the SUV driver. You can see the implication. Hand seems to have anger management issues, and a very unhealthy approach to dealing with them. He will end up paying more than just the car he threw away. Hand is being sought by police and will be charged with criminal damage to property. Let’s hope that cooler heads prevail and all will be well. And for those who let emotions get the best of them behind the wheel, this video is a warning. It’s 2021, and cameras are everywhere. It’s likely that if you behave like a jerk behind the wheel, it will be captured and shared for all to see, even the authorities.
