It is the longest vehicle in the current range of models by the brand.
Dacia has been enjoying strong sales in Europe, with the Sandero hatchback winning the title of best-selling vehicle in July. The Lodgy van was discontinued by the Romanian brand in 2020. Its lineup had no seven-seater for approximately a year. Dacia has now revealed the Jogger, which it promised to unveil several weeks ago. The Jogger will be its “fourth and final pillar” following the Spring, Sandero/Logan and Duster.
The new model is a well-designed crossover-van mashup that will be available in 5- and 7-seat configurations. It offers “the best price/habitability” ratios on the European market. The Jogger name Dacia explains that the term “sport, nature and positive energy” refers to Dacia’s model. It reflects its typical characteristics – practicality and robustness as well as affordability.
The Jogger’s nose to A-pillar looks almost exactly like a Sandero Stepway. However, a slight bend just before the rear doors increases the car’s height by 40 millimeters (1.57 inch). The Jogger measures 4,55m (179 in) and can carry 708 liters (25 cubes) of cargo in a five-seat configuration. You’ll find a 1,819-liter (64.33 cu ft.) storage space by folding down the second row. You also have 24 liters (0.84cuft) of storage space throughout the cabin.
The interior of the Jogger is familiar if you have ever been in a modern Dacia. The Jogger’s interior is familiar with its tablet-style infotainment display on the middle console and three climate controls beneath. Standard features include a phone holder that can hold your smartphone and turn it into a navigation system. Other standard features include speed limiter, automatic headlights and wipers as well as steering wheel-mounted control buttons.
The current range of Dacia models:
The Jogger, just like the Sandero Stepway and Logan, will only be available with gasoline or LPG engines. Customers will not be able to choose a diesel option. Instead, they can opt for a 1.0-liter three cylinder gas engine that produces 110 horsepower (81kW), which is the most powerful model at the moment. A six-speed manual gearbox transmits power to the front wheels via the direct-inject unit.
The Eco-G liquefied petroleum gasoline engine has a range of approximately 1,000 km (621 miles) due to its 40-liter LPG tank, and 50-liter gas tank. We don’t know if there will be an optional automatic transmission. However, we expect that Dacia will expand the Jogger’s engine and gearbox range during its lifetime.
