The new badge will be applied to cars in the second half 2022.
Renault, the parent company, announced plans to modify its diamond logo starting in 2022. The low-cost Romanian section will also be changing its badge. The new emblem, which was first seen on the Bigster concept in the beginning of this year, is a marked departure from the existing design. It features mirroring letters in a new font and features “D” and “C” letters. The DC is supposed to reflect the brand’s “simple-minded and cunning mindset”, while drawing the letters closer together is “like links in a chain that are paired with one another in a strong, cohesive connection.” Dacia has changed its corporate identity and now uses a green color scheme. “Khaki-green” is the official color and reflects the company’s “closeness with nature”. Other secondary colors include dark khaki and terracotta as well as bright orange, green, and sand. Dacia will gradually roll out its new corporate identity. Its official websites, advertising and brochures will go live this month. The dealerships will follow the example of the company’s previous logo from early next year. Cars will get the new badge in the second half 2022. The logo change was promoted in a new video on social media. But there is more to it.
The clip ends with an SUV driving through the night. The larger C-segment Bigster won’t be available until the middle of this decade so the Duster is the one that’s being shown. It will soon get a mid-cycle facelift and, as you can see from the image, it will have revised taillights with “Y” graphics to match the Logan and Sandero models.
The front should have the same story with the headlights. Meanwhile, the interior will reportedly get an eight inch touchscreen that was inherited from the hatchback and sedan duos. According to recent reports, the new Duster will be revealed next week, on Tuesday (June 22, 2012), although nothing is yet official.
The Dacia Sandero/Logan wagon version will replace the Logan MCV after the Duster’s facelift. According to a product roadmap, it is expected to be available in 2022. The third-generation Duster, which is based on the same product roadmap as the Bigster, will also be available before it.
