It is battery powered and has a remote-operated host suite under the rear deck that can be used for picnics.
There is a Boat Tail out there, but it’s not the same as this one. The boat also cost $28 million, or at least that’s what we believe. However, we consider this two-seater to be absolutely priceless. This is another amazing automotive creation by ND – Woodworking Art. As you can see in the video above, it’s not a small model that can be stored on a shelf. You can drive this scaled-down version of the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. It seats two people.
The project took 68 days, according to the video. Like previous videos by this talented craftsman, the project starts with chunks wood. However, two axles are added and an electric motor is installed early. The motor’s simple chain drive turns the rear wheels. A disc brake can slow it down. The exterior and interior are lit by functional lights, while the passengers can enter via “suicide” doors that open in reverse.
The woodworking talent is truly jaw-dropping, as always. This Boat Tail was constructed using everything from table saws to angle grinders, chain saws, angle saws, and even hand-chisels. The best feature of the Boat Tail is its power-opening rear deck that opens to reveal a tray for hospitality, much like the real Boat Tail. It even has a stand to hold an umbrella and can be opened via remote control. Isn’t that cool?
This Rolls-Royce replica was made by Dad for his son. It is cool to see them enjoying a picnic and driving around in it. This car is far more valuable than any other Goodwood-produced model.
