A lightweight motorhome that is off-road capable is a great choice.
Motorhomes can be found for a fraction of the price, but Darc, a German startup, has entered the market to release its own entry. What can the Darc Mono, a sinister-looking motorhome, offer in the sea of RV options?First, Darc Mono was inspired by Dakar as well as Formula 1 when building his adventure machine. What is the secret to building an adventure machine? You can read on, but you should also take a look at the gallery below. It will show you its beauty and finesse outside. At least in official photos.
The Darc Mono is built on a 2021 Iveco Day 4×4 full-size van chassis. It boasts its Dakar offroading inspiration with KW Automotive’s adaptive suspension. This is paired with a set aluminum wheels with 37-inch all-terrain tires. The Mono is virtually ready to go anywhere. It comes with a tubular-steel bullbar, an 11-ton (10 tonnes) winch, as well as a carbon fiber intake snorkel. The Formula 1 bits, on the other hand, are found on the 161-inch (420-centimeter)-long carbon fiber monocoque. Formula 1 technology is used to create the monocoque, which has an “unprecedented” strength, weight reduction of 35 percent, advanced temperature and noise insulation.
The exterior is gnarly and aggressive but the living space inside the monocoque of carbon fiber has a refreshing contrast. It’s designed by architects as well as adventurers. The headroom is 6′ 7″ (205 cm), and the panoramic view from 270 degrees ensures that occupants have a great view of nature. With a queen-size bed, the dining area can also double as a sleeping space. The Darc Mono’s specification sheet has many details that you can see. You can find it on the Darc Mono website at the source link below. However, pricing is not one of the things Darc Mono will be offering. Darc will begin accepting orders in March and deliver in August.
