Audi’s Q3 crossover is getting new details.
The Q3 was designed to compete with the BMW X1, MercedesBLK and GLC. It will use the same platform that the Volkswagen Tiguan. Although our spy team has not been able to see the model in person, it is expected that the crossover will feature a sporty design inspired by the Cross Coupe quattro idea. This was revealed at the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show.
The launch engine options include a 2.0 liter TFSI with 170 PS (125 kW / 168 hp), 211 PS (1155 kW / 208 hp), and a 2.0 liter TDI which cranks out 170PS (125 kW / 168 hp). They will be mated with the standard transmission options and C02 emissions should range from 158 to 184 grams/km.
The Frankfurt Motor Show will be the place where the Q3 is likely to be revealed. It will then go on sale in Germany in late September or early octobre (in Germany).
