DMC built Aircraft Tugs back in the day, and you can still buy one for cheap

This baby will hit 8 mph and you’ll see serious $hit.

This episode of “things that you see on the internet” features a rare example of Craigslist. It was discovered that the DeLorean Motor Company made aircraft tow tugs back then. We are sorry for our ignorance but it’s not every day that we see a famous car company or icon nameplate attached to slow things such as tractors.

Ah, but wait! Lamborghini.

We did some research and discovered that DMC, or John DeLorean, bought Thiokol’s snowcat division in the 1970s. Logan Manufacturing Company (LMC), was born in 1978.

You can see that the DMC-built LMC has an aircraft tow truck that rolls with a T-40 designation plate. These lunchboxes are not used to push an aircraft from an airport gate, but they can be used to go back in time at 88 mph. We are certain it cannot reach 88 mph. However, some people claim it has a top Speed of 30 MPH.

This is an official DMC product. One example, dating back to 1982, is available on Craigslist of San Francisco. You can also get it for as low as $2,500

It is said to have a rebuilt engine that produces 80 horsepower and as much torque as the original. It runs great, and it even has an automatic transmission. Why would you want to shift gears at a snail’s pace?

Click the source link to the Craiglist listing and send an inquiry to the seller if you are interested. Also, the listing states that the T-40 comes with a brand new set of tires.
