Dodge Challenger R/T Scatpack Possessed by Demon for New 1320 Trim

This was made to go quarter miles.

You can’t pick from the 17 Challenger trim level. Dodge offers a new option that is both track- and road-friendly. Named after the 1,320 feet it covers in a quarter mile, the Dodge Challenger R/T Pack 1320 was created with grassroots racing in view. Although street legal, it was designed for drag racing.

It houses a 392 Hemi engine that produces 485 horsepower (361 Kilowatts) as well as 475 pound-feet (644 Newton meters) of torque. The engine is paired with an exclusive eight-speed automatic transmission. The R/T Scat Pack 1320 also features exclusive drag strip technology from the Demon. This includes an SRT-tuned Adaptive Damping System with Drag Mode, TransBrake, Torque Reserve and heavy-duty 41-spline halves shafts.

The vehicle rides on a set Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street legal drag radial tires. It also features Brembo brakes and a driver’s only seat. Buyers who are not interested in the installation of the rear bench and front passenger can pay $1. The R/T Scat Pack 1302 will cover a quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds, at 115 mph (185 km/h). It is the fastest street-legally legal muscle car, naturally aspirated by Dodge.

Steve Beahm is Head of Passenger Car Brands. “All it takes to find out that the grassroots drag-racing scene is large and extremely loyal towards their cars is an evening at a local strip.” We created Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 for the heart of drag racing, the bracket racer who just wants to go to the track, get dressed up, go fast, and return home with a big smile on their face and maybe a trophy in their trunk.

It’s not all fun and games. Dodge’s iconic Super Bee logo, now called the “Angry Bee”, is prominently displayed on the front grille and Air Catcher headlights. It also appears on the instrument panel and startup screen in the gauge cluster. The launch model is limited to the purplish Black Eye color option, which buyers can choose from 14 other colors. Dodge wants to hear from customers about the color so it can be used on future Dodge vehicles.

Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 13020 adds $3,995 to the R/T Scat Pack’s asking price of $38,995. This package comes with the eight-speed automatic transmission as the only option. It adds $1,595 to the Scat Pack’s cost. The R/T 1320 Scat Pack should cost you $45,980, including destination charges ($1,395).

The new Challenger trim will soon be available for order in late 2018 and orders can start in early 2019.
