Dodge announced that the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat will be the “most powerful muscle car ever made” when it goes on sale later in the year.
Although the company previously stated that the supercharged V8 engine of the Challenger SRT Hellcat would produce more than 600 horsepower (447kW), the final numbers are a staggering 707 horsepower (527kW) and 650 lbft (880Nm) of torque. These numbers are enough to show that the Challenger SRT Hellcat is superior to everything else, from the Lamborghini Aventador up to Dodge’s Viper SRT.
Although Chrysler did not release the full specs, they stated that the 707 horsepower (527 kW), will only be available for drivers who use a red key fob. A black key fob will be available to limit the model’s output to 500 bhp (372kW).
