Dodge produced 3,300 Demons in 2018.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the Dodge Challenger SRT SUPER Stock. This helped to ease the Demon’s short production run. Dodge stated when the car was first introduced that it would not limit production. However, the 2020 model year is going to be very rare. According to a new Motor Trend Report, the automaker will produce 200 Super Stock Challengers in 2020. This would make the Demon even rarer.

Dodge produced 3,300 Demons in 2018 for the coupe’s sole model year. This is more than 200. Dodge will not limit the Super Stock’s production in 2021 or beyond. The 2020 and 2021 cars will also be identical. However, the only difference between them is how they were rolled off of the assembly line. This might be something that some customers may value.

The Challenger SUPER Stock is for those who are lucky enough to get it. Dodge’s supercharged V8 of 6.2-liters makes 807 horsepower (602 Kilowatts) as well as 707 pound-feet (958 Nms) of torque. The Super Stock is now at the top of the Challenger lineup, one horsepower less than the Demon and 10 horsepower more than the Redeye. It’s not as fast as the Demon, but it does have a few of its goodies.

Dodge claims that the Super Stock can run the quarter-mile in just 10.5 seconds, at 131 mph (210 km/h). It takes only 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph (96 km/h). Although the Super Stock shares many parts with the Demon, the Super Stock does not have the trans brake. Dodge also has no plans to sell Demon parts directly to Super Stock owners. The SRT Super Stock starts at $79,585 and doesn’t include $1,495 destination charges. That comes down to $99 for each horsepower.
