Although it looks like a 1970 Charger car, there are carbon fiber body panels as well as a 9.0-liter V8.
The 1970 Dodge Charger was a top-selling muscle car thanks to its dozens of engine options, including the 440-cubic inch (7.2-liter), V8 and the legendary 426 (7.0 liter) Hemi. While more power might not seem like a necessity, don’t tell the Tantrum that it is. The engine is a Mercury Marine 9.0-liter biturbo V8 that was originally built for racing boats. It produces an impressive 1,650 horsepower (1.230 kilowatts). The engine is available for sale in Chatsworth (California), but it’s only available on application.
Speedkore constructed the Tantrum in 2015. Speedkore built the Tantrum in 2015. Carbon fiber parts were also manufactured by the firm for the exterior of the vehicle, including the bumpers, fenders and door panels. The grille was originally a 72-inch-long aluminum block that the build crew fashioned into this intricate design. The result looked great, despite the extensive overhaul.
Speedkore used a Tremec six speed manual transmission to handle the massive power output. The power was sent to a Ford nine inch rear end via a Tremec six speed manual transmission. Cornering was made easier by a four-link rear suspension. The Charger could stop thanks to fourteen-inch disc brakes.
The 2015 SEMA show saw the huge success of the Tantrum, which won the Gran Turismo Award as well as the Best Domestic Car award. It may also be recognized from its appearance in Fate of the Furious.
A black Dodge Charger with 1,650 horsepower under its hood is the most terrifying car. We hope the new owner will take it on the streets often to make muscle car drivers fearful.
